Reading Area Community College (RACC)

City of Reading; Berks County, PA

Reading Area Community College Reading Pa, Civil Engineering
The Reading Area Community College project aimed to improve the current conditions along Second and Front Streets. The design offered pedestrian friendly intersections to encourage students and staff to explore the campus and outside areas. The use of common streetscape techniques such as benches, lights, and landscaping are incorporated along walkways to create an aesthetically pleasing campus. Clear directional signage is provided to avoid confusion among students, staff, and guests. The roadways throughout the Campus contain bike paths to safely accommodate travelers in the City while managing existing vehicular and truck traffic. This project required close communication with PennDOT officials.

Services are on-going for continual improvements at this site.
